For most people leaving any relationship will meaning sorting out accommodation matters; if you have experienced domestic abuse you may find these matters further complicated and stressful, however your situation may give you some additional rights.

'QUICK EXIT'

If you live in housing society accommodation (e.g. Merlin), or are homeless, you should seek advice in the first instance either from your housing officer or South Gloucestershire Council Home Choice Team:

If you live in owner occupied or privately rented accommodation you may need advice on how to ensure you do not lose your home. Advice is best sought from a specialist housing advice centre, solicitor or law centre.
