Criminal Justice
Avon and Somerset Prolific Offender Scheme, Drug Management Team (Probation) and Safer South Gloucestershire Drug Intervention Programme (DIP) team work in partnership to reduce drug-related offending. This includes work in the areas of:
- Drug Rehabilitation Requirements (DRRs)
- Drug Treatment and Testing Orders (DTTOs)
- Referrals to other Drug/Alcohol agencies for provision of appropriate treatment
- The DIP team provides ongoing support for Priority and Prolific Offenders (PPOs) released on Licence, as well as covering court cells and custody suites within South Gloucestershire to engage with offenders and enable them to access treatment quickly. We also supervise people who have received Restrictions on Bail and who reside in the South Gloucestershire area.

Referrals are accepted from CARATS, Probation, the Police, ASPOS and self referrals. Once a referral is received, a worker will be allocated and will contact the client to arrange an appointment.
