What will South Gloucestershire do to tackle Hate Crime?

Safer South Gloucestershire is a key member of the South Gloucestershire Partnership Against Hate Crime (PAHC).  All members of the partnership are dedicated to combating hate crime . The partnership has appointed a development officer to co-ordinate the PAHC and support the members in successfully introducing a number of initiatives to South Gloucestershire.

Safer South Gloucestershire offers a range of services to anyone experiencing hate crime. These include:

  • A dedicated outreach worker from the most appropriate service(s)
  • A dedicated Hate Crime police officer that has a specialised knowledge of hate crime
  • Independent confidential hate crime reporting centres across South Gloucestershire
  • Awareness Raising Training 
  • Educational work
  • Information on the services available to local people
  • A coordinated approach to dealing with offenders
  • Publicity material
