The website www.safersouthglos.org.uk went live today and will be used as an information resource to showcase the wide range of services available to the public, which are provided by various agencies across the district.
It contains practical information on the community safety and drugs partnership’s services, for anyone seeking help or needing further information for themselves or someone they care for.
The partnership launching the website consists of South Gloucestershire Council, Avon and Somerset Police Constabulary, Avon and Somerset Police Authority, South Gloucestershire Primary Care Trust, Avon Fire and Rescue, Avon and Somerset Probation Area, and other statutory and voluntary agencies.
Copies of the partnership’s latest annual report were also published today.
It highlights a number of achievements including a huge reduction in house burglaries, enhanced provision of drug and alcohol services, considerable progress in tackling anti-social behaviour and improvements in lighting and CCTV in and around town centres.
The report also contains useful telephone numbers and websites and is available online at www.safersouthglos.org.uk
